Accessibility statement
Europark Maribor undertakes to make the europark.si website accessible to all users in accordance with the Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications. This accessibility statement refers to the EUROPARK.SI website.
We want to give all visitors and users of our website equal access to the content. The websites, which we are still adapting and developing, are prepared in accordance with the WCAG 2.1 web content accessibility guidelines prepared by the W3C organization.
When designing the website and content, we follow the principles of universal design.
Compliance level
Our website is largely compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. We try to eliminate defects that we find by checking the website or that are reported to us by users.
Unavailable content
We constantly monitor the accessibility of the website and continuously improve individual accessibility elements. Nevertheless, some of the published content does not meet all the accessibility requirements as defined by the Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications.
Examples of such content are:
scanned documents in PDF format,
software-generated documents (some content is not regulated due to the disproportionate burden; the authority assesses the disproportionate burden as having significant financial consequences for the authority, as the scope of the content is very large),
various complex tables with data (the reason lies in the disproportionate burden that the authority assesses with the personnel and financial burden that would be required to be optimized).
Such exceptions include Europark Magazin and other similar content that would impose a disproportionate burden.
The above-mentioned content refers to very small and narrowly specialized groups of users, among whom we have not yet detected any problems with accessibility, but at Europark Maribor we are nevertheless working hard to ensure that all our content is adapted as much as possible to potential users who belong to vulnerable groups groups. In the future, in accordance with organizational, technological and personnel capabilities (taking into account the proportionality of the burden), we will ensure the accessibility of published documents to the greatest extent possible.
Special accessibility features
In order to ensure the accessibility of the website, some adjustments have been systemically provided, such as:
- Responsive design that allows you to adjust the layout of the content,
- resolution and screen size,
- appropriate color contrasts between text and background,
- fitting images with alt text,
- display of content for users of assistive technologies and
- keyboard navigation.
We strive to make all the functionalities of our website accessible to users who access it using a keyboard, voice commands, a mouse or with the help of other support technologies.
In addition, we have provided accessibility tools on the website that allow:
- font enlargement,
- font reduction,
- selection of gray tones,
- choosing a higher contrast,
- negative contrast selection,
- choosing a light background,
- underlining web links,
- choosing a more readable font,
- site adaptation for people with ADAH, epilepsy, color blindness, dyslexia and blindness,
- access to the accessibility statement.
Pictures
All images on our site that are not purely decorative are described with additional text that describes the information in the image or the function the image illustrates. We use images and graphic elements because they enable many users to understand the content faster and easier, especially those with cognitive or learning disabilities. They can also help visually impaired or visually impaired users to find their way around the website more easily.
Contrast
We provide sufficient contrast between the text and the background on the website to be readable by users with impaired vision who do not use contrast enhancement devices. Among the accessibility tools, we have added the option for users to choose the contrast scheme that suits them best. Accessibility tools are always available at the top of the screen.
Feedback and contact information
Universal design opens up new possibilities and opportunities for users with different disabilities like never before in history. Accessible information and communication technologies, which are an important factor in ensuring equal opportunities for all, play an important role in this. They allow us to take advantage of the opportunities of the digital society and our creative potential.
If you want to let us know anything related to the adaptation of the Europark Maribor website, or if you need information about content that is currently unavailable to you, you can contact us at marketing@europark.si. You will receive an answer within 8 days of receiving the notification or request. If you do not receive an answer within the specified period, we will inform you when the answer will be given and the reasons for the delay in the answer.
